Sample Project: William IV Armchair

The barewooden  frame  of the William IV chairWe believe the date of the frame to be 1810 t0 1820. After stripping the frame was repaired and polished by Michael Hutson, a furniture restorer based in Markyate.

The springsThe chair was made before springs were available in upholstery. but springs were used when reupholstering this chair.

The stuffing is stitched

A feather cushion was later added to the finished chairA feather cushion was later added to the finished chair.
